Gul blitz helps Pak avoid follow-on

Nottingham: Pakistan tail - led by Umar Gul - successfully warded off the follow-on scare on the third morning of the Trent Bridge Test, as English bowlers continued to toil hard to dislodge the last Pakistani wicket.
Gul kept piling on the agony for Andrew Strauss, as he went past his fifty, and took Pakistan to 182 in able support of Mohammad Asif.

One or two stalwart old trundlers must have been grumpy tonight. It seems as if Steven Finn has defied the old truism that the best way to prepare for bowling is by doing lots of bowling. In his 11 overs today he grabbed three for 20.
